Direction to Use:

DIFLUCAN® ONE is administered orally. Use in AdultsFor vaginal candidiasis, fluconazole 150 mg (DIFLUCAN® ONE) should beadministered as a single oral dose. The median time to onset of symptom relief following a 150 mg single oral dose for thetreatment of vaginal candidiasis is one day. The range of time to onset of symptomrelief is one hour to nine days. Use in ChildrenSingle dose fluconazole is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of ageexcept under doctor supervision.

Side Effects

Common fluconazole side effects include nausea, headache, and stomach pain. Diarrhea is also possible. Mild side effects tend to resolve on their own or go away when you finish your treatment course. Serious fluconazole side effects such as skin rash, liver damage, and heart rhythm changes are also possible

About fluconazole

What does it do?

Thrush is a fungal infection, commonly caused by a type of yeast called candida. Although candida is naturally present in the body, an imbalance can trigger thrush symptoms. Fluconazole 150mg (also known as Diflucan and other brand names) kills certain types of fungi and restores your body's natural balance.

Taking fluconazole for the first time

Fluconazole treatment for thrush is simple - just one capsule to be swallowed with a glass of water. You can take this medicine at any time of day, with or without a meal.

How effective is it?

Women taking fluconazole should see an improvement within a few days. Some women will notice improvement in 24 hours.

For men, the condition can take a little longer to clear up. The symptoms should clear up within a few days, although this can take up to a week.

If your condition hasn't cleared up within one week, you should consult a doctor.

Cautions when using fluconazole

Thrush is an infection which can occur without sexual contact, so it is not a sexually transmitted disease. However, the infection can be passed on during sex, so it is recommended that you should not have sex until the infection has cleared up.

If you regularly suffer from thrush, then it's advisable that both you and your partner have thrush treatment at the same time.

Taking too much can make you unwell, so contact your doctor or nearest hospital immediately if you take more than you should.

Side effects of fluconazole

As with any medicine, there are side effects. Although a serious allergic reaction to fluconazole is rare. Common side effects (occurring in one in ten patients) include nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, wind, rash and headache. However, these side effects are usually mild and don't tend to last long. If symptoms persist, or are particularly severe, contact your doctor.

When not to take fluconazole

You should not take fluconazole while you are pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding.

Do not take fluconazole if you've ever had an allergic reaction to any of its ingredients or any other medicines which you have taken to treat a fungal infection.

Tell your doctor before taking fluconazole if:

  • Have liver or kidney problems.
  • Suffer from heart disease, including heart rhythm problems.
  • Have abnormal levels of potassium, calcium, or magnesium in your blood.

Tell your doctor about any other medicines you are taking, or have recently taken before taking fluconazole.

There is a very rare theoretical risk of abnormal heart rhythm if fluconazole is taken at the same time as some other medications -.

The Diflucan Capsule is a yeast-stimulating capsule that contains the fluconazole and is available in 150 mg, 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg capsules.

Diflucan Capsule is indicated for the treatment of cryptococcal meningitis, as well as certain types of yeast infections, includingCandidabacterial infections. The capsules are helpful forhealingyeast infection candidiasis in patients with compromised immune systems.

For the following conditions, you’ll need a prescription for diflucan capsule 150 mg, 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg capsules:

  • A yeast infection of the vagina or other body parts.
  • A yeast infection of the mouth, throat, or esophagus.

The diflucan capsule 150 mg, 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg capsules will be used in conjunction with an anti-yeast treatment.

Take diflucan capsule 150 mg, 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg capsules with food or milk. You should take these capsules with a full glass of water. Drink plenty of fluids while taking the capsules, and while in the diflucan capsule.

Diflucan capsule will make it easier to get the treatment you need. But you should take the capsules with a full glass of water, as they may make the capsules more difficult to swallow.

Continue to take the capsules until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the capsules too early may result in a return of the infection.

Do not stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor. If you experience any adverse reactions while taking this medicine, stop taking this medication and call your doctor for medical advice.

You should also avoid excessive or prolonged exposure to sunlight while on this medicine.

In addition, do not start, stop, or change the dosage of the capsules without the advice of your doctor.

Do not use the capsules if you have any infection that is not effectively treated. Call your doctor for medical advice if you have any questions. If your doctor prescribes this medicine, there may be an increased risk of getting a yeast infection. You should contact your doctor for medical advice if you notice any of the following signs of an increased risk of yeast infection, or other unusual symptoms:gastrointestinalinfectionlike gas, abdominal pain, bloating, or diarrhealike gas. or abdominal pain or discomfort.

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose, or ears during the administration of this medicine. Avoid the use of alcoholic beverages. Also avoid the use of antacids or other medications that may decrease the absorption of fluconazole. Fluconazole, as well as other antibiotics, can interfere with the absorption of fluconazole and cause an increase in the amount of fluconazole in the blood. Therefore, avoid the use of fluconazole in the presence of a yeast infection.

If you have allergies to sulfa drugs, or to medicines used to make them, including sulfa antibiotics. Always avoid the use of fluconazole in the presence of a yeast infection. Fluconazole can interfere with the absorption of fluconazole and cause an increase in the amount of fluconazole in the blood. Fluconazole and the sulfa antibiotics can lead to the growth of Candida, which can cause an increased sensitivity to fluconazole.

This medicine is not indicated for women. Women should not use this medicine in the female body, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding. This medicine may affect the female sex hormone (DHEA). Your doctor may prescribe this medicine for other uses.
